With over four decades of proven experience, UK and international, I have been awarded Fellowship of the Career Development Institute and won a national award for innovation in careers education and guidance in 2013. I have some superb testimonials, and inspections have judged my work to be 'outstanding'.
I am a master's level 7 qualified Registered Career Development Professional and follow the Career Development Institute’s Code of Ethics.
I will maximise and support your successes by discussing realistic, achievable targets and then reviewing these with you, whether you are an individual or an organisation.
My work has included:
guiding and supporting students in undergraduate and postgraduate university applications from around the world, including the UK e.g. placed in Cambridge and Oxford, Imperial College, LSE, UCL, King's, medical schools, art foundation schools and music courses;
providing career guidance to support career and course decisions;
mentoring careers professionals to improve their practice and confidence;
training and assessing careers leaders:
advising and assessing schools and colleges for the Quality in Careers Standard;
writing the Career Development Institute’s briefing paper on career action planning
writing primary school careers materials for the Career Development Institute and John Lewis Partnership;
writing a toolkit for careers leaders for CASCAID;
auditing careers education and providing support to schools and colleges, previously as a county careers education manager;
evaluating the matrix guidance standard with a research company as part of a BIS contract;
providing consultancy to employer education partnerships;
running career planning workshops with parents and students;
active involvement in the CDI’s Ethics and Professional Standards Committee.
